The wind whipped at the sea, sending bursts of spray up onto the cliff-side path. Ryan pulled his coat tight trying to ward off the cold wind. He was supposed to be revising for his SATS exams that started on Monday but he had needed to get some fresh air after being cooped up in the house ever since getting out of hospital earlier in the week. Ryan tossed and turned in the bed, caught in the throes of a nightmare. He was drenched with sweat, throwing off the bed covers with every violent twist and turn. In his nightmare, he saw a confusing mishmash of images. An old and imposing stone building on the bank of the Thames, a pair of yellow eyes and a scaled claw, his old home back in Truro, a dusty and ornate mirror locked in an attic, Cliffport’s beach fracturing into a thousand pieces, and the sensation of falling through darkness towards a circle of fire. MLO Issue 1

Issue One Done Inbetween juggling four different roleplaying games, looking for a job, and watching fansubbed anime. I somehow found time to finish Issue One which is Sam's introduction. Tried to keep it short and not give too much information away. Next up is MegaVolt. Most of this one is already done (being based on this submission). Just need to rework parts of it and expand the second part. Considering what I have planned in the new additions, it seems that most, if not all, of the introduction issues will follow a similar format. A while ago, I started writing a superhero story called An Unlikely Hero which featured a character called Todd Marshall. Job Offer

 Is it worth it? After much emailing and telephoning, I've finally received a job offer from UKDC. The hours they've offered me are 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday. If I take it, that's pretty much goodbye to what little social life I have until next December at the soonest. No friends, no gaining, no going out, nothing. Is £7.20 on hour worth it?.
